Be a part of the biggest, most successful ensemble in all of Somerville High School. The Marching Band is a fall extracurricular ensemble that serves as the face of the Somerville. Rooted in a deep tradition of excellence and patrentry, members of the Marching Band perform on a national level in parades, competitions, and festivals. Every students who wants to be part of the Marching Band has a spot. With over 100 members, consider this place your new home.

If you are brass player, this is the section for you. French horn players and advanced trumpet players should consider switching to mellophone. Baritone and tuba players have marching variants of their instruments. Mellophone, Baritone, and Tuba will be provided.

For those who want to play percussion stationary, front ensemble is for you. With all percussion, you must put in a placement audition to be assigned an battery or front ensemble instrument. Dancers and movement specialist, come out and join the Color Guard. Ville guard is a movement based ensemble focus on providing visual effect to our marching band shows.
