Be a part of the biggest, most successful ensemble in all of Somerville High School. The Marching Band is a fall extracurricular ensemble that serves as the face of the Somerville. Rooted in a deep tradition of excellence and patrentry, members of the Marching Band perform on a national level in parades, competitions, and festivals. Every students who wants to be part of the Marching Band has a spot. With over 100 members, consider this place your new home.

Support the Football team in the stands and be part of Friday Night Light experience! Perform for thousands of audiences in venues such SHI Stadium, Rutgers University and even MetLife Stadium, home of the Jets and Giants!

Travel to premiere travel destinations such as the Virginia International Music Festival in Norfolk, VA and Disney World in Orlando, FL.

​Be part of one of the biggest and most successful groups in the entire school. Over 24 Regional Titles, 6 State Championships, and 2 World Championships.

While all WW instruments are important, considering switching the tenor sax and bari sax line! Double reed players should consider switching to another woodwind instrument for the season.

If you are brass player, this is the section for you. French horn players and advanced trumpet players should consider switching to mellophone. Baritone and tuba players have marching variants of their instruments. Mellophone, Baritone, and Tuba will be provided.
